About the Role
JCPS Mechanical Ltd is currently recruiting a Maintenance Manager to join our growing team. Based in Ballycoolin. We are looking for someone who has a proven ability to lead and grow our maintenance division. This is a senior position suited to someone with a strong background in maintenance operations who can also contribute commercially by developing new business and expanding existing contracts.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, ensuring all planned and reactive works are delivered efficiently and to a high standard
- Oversee and develop existing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contracts, ensuring full compliance, scheduling, and client satisfaction
- Manage and coordinate reactive maintenance callouts, ensuring timely response, effective resolution, and strong customer communication
- Supervise and support the HVAC installations team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards
- Drive business growth and department expansion, identifying new opportunities, upselling services, and building long-term client relationships
- Take an active role in sales and tendering, including pricing works, preparing quotations, and securing new maintenance and project contracts
- Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team of engineers and subcontractors
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations and industry standards
- Monitor and manage departmental performance, including KPIs, service delivery, and profitability
- Oversee resource planning, including labour allocation, materials, and subcontractor management
- Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation for all maintenance activities
- Act as the main point of contact for key clients, ensuring excellent service delivery and retention
· Full ownership of the Maintenance & AC division P&L, including revenue, margin, and cost control
· Prepare and manage annual budgets and monthly forecasts for the division
· Develop and implement a strategic growth plan for the maintenance division
· Implement and manage service management systems
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior role within a maintenance or HVAC/mechanical services company
- Strong background in managing PPM contracts and reactive maintenance operations
- Experience overseeing or working alongside HVAC installation teams
- Demonstrated ability in sales, business development, or growing a service department
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness, including pricing and contract management
- Solid understanding of mechanical/HVAC systems and maintenance best practices
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements (including F-Gas)
